Position Summary

The Program Coordinator coordinates and executes programming that supports
emerging entrepreneurs. This includes organizing program activities, fostering
participant engagement, facilitating stakeholder collaboration, and providing
administrative support to ensure successful program outcomes.

Reporting to the Program Lead and Director of Operations, the Program Coordinator will collaborate with educational institutions, industry professionals, and community
stakeholders to ensure high-quality program delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Coordination & Delivery
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, and engagement of program participants.
• Coordinate and schedule expert-led workshops, mentorship sessions, and
  networking opportunities.
• Facilitate both in-person and virtual learning sessions to ensure program
  milestones are met.
• Develop and distribute relevant program materials and resources.

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

• Build relationships with educational institutions, business leaders, and industry partners to align programming with market needs.
• Engage subject matter experts, mentors, and advisors to enhance participant experience.
• Represent the Innovation Cluster at events, conferences, and outreach initiatives to promote the program.

Participant Support & Success Tracking

• Provide individual support to participants, offering guidance and referrals to help them advance their business goals.
• Monitor participant progress, gather feedback, and track key performance metrics.
• Maintain accurate participant records using the organization’s CRM system.

Administrative & Reporting Duties

• Assist in preparing reports for stakeholders and program funders.
• Maintain detailed program documentation, including success stories and impact data.
• Support budgeting and administrative tasks related to program funding and operations.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, and community development. They have strong communication and organizational skills with experience in program coordination, business support, or training initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or diploma in Business, Entrepreneurship, Education, or a related field.
• Experience in program coordination, event planning, or client services.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• General understanding of business development principles (e.g., marketing, finance, operations).
• Comfortable facilitating workshops, networking events, and collaborative
  sessions.
• Availability for occasional evening sessions (once per week).
• Proficient in digital tools such as CRM systems, Google Suite, Zoom, and social media.
• Self-motivated and collaborative, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and access to a vehicle for local travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with entrepreneurs, startups, or small businesses.
• Familiarity with workforce development or economic development programs.
• Prior involvement with government-funded projects and reporting.

Position Details

• Contract Length: 12 months (possibility of extension)
• Job Type: Full-time/35 Hours per week
• Salary: $52,000 annually
• Location: Peterborough, ON (local travel required)
